I’ve been around, I’ve just been super-busy with work and being awesome. Also, I spend at least half my time daydreaming about vacation, and I’m trying to finish photo-editing, but work and Picnik’s propensity to eat up all available resources and then crash has been making it difficult.
This weekend included:
It was ridiculous as always. Also, you get 12 or more people in our basement, and you have trouble moving. It’s kind of funny.
Most of the crowd at the skate with the Gophers is parents with their kids. Does that stop me? Of course not. Matt was very excited to get to hold the National Championship trophy from 2002.
We’ve now carried boxes and furniture around Minneapolis three times in the past three months, from 5 different apartments. If anyone else moves this year, I will be sure to be out of town that weekend. Regardless, their new place is awesome!
4) DINNER AT MAYSLACK’S
We went out with Wendy, Amelia, Cindi, and Adam after moving. Matt and I were considering maybe going out again later, but then realized that wasn’t going to happen. We spent the rest of the night at home watching the NHL all-star skills competition and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which made us laugh so hard it hurt.
I’ve wanted to go see this for a few years, and it’s always been too cold, too early, or too hungover. Despite the below-zero temperatures, we layered on the clothes til we looked like abominable snowmen, and headed out onto the ice on Lake Nokomis. I’m so glad we did, because it was absolutely fantastic. And we got to see Ben’s team’s first win!!
6) BRUNCH AT HOT PLATE
Did you guys forget this place exists? Us too. Holy crap, it’s awesome.
7) HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTIVITY
I did a lot of baking, knitting, cleaning, and watching the NHL All-Star game. How can anyone not completely love Ovechkin? That dude is hilarious.
And now I shall return to my very important bidness. Have an excellent Tuesday, hombres!
