So, I discovered the other day that I can pick up the city of Minneapolis’ free wifi in my apartment. This is confusing, since I’m pretty sure it’s supplied by USI, the same company that told me their service would work in my apartment, and then it didn’t. After they shipped me the receiver and signed me up and made me pay to ship it back to them, of course. No, I’m not bitter. Just because I hate Comcast so much that I’d be angry at another company for not being able to save me from them.<\/p>\n
Anyway, it’s been working fine the last couple of days. I can’t get my remote desktop up and running, but I’ll figure it out. I’m going to call Comcast tonight and tell them to SUCK IT, and I think I’ll use the $65 I’ll be saving next month to buy Molotov cocktail supplies. No reason!<\/p>\n
Tuesday night, Wendy and Matt and I went to the Douchetree for dinner (it’s a tradition!), and then to the free Timberwolves game we were treated to because KG didn’t play at the Celtics game. They stomped all over the Utah Jazz, and it was excellent. We decided to call Kirk Snyder ‘Cupcake’, since he just arrived via the Gerald Green<\/a> trade. Also, I love having a marginal NBA team here, because tickets are so cheap! I’ll be kind of sad if they actually get good and then we have to pay full price.<\/p>\n Last night, Matt and I went to see Chip Kidd<\/a> at the downtown library. His cover-design presentation was hysterical, and so was the reading. Afterward, we located Cindi and went to join Pete, Christa, and Klein at Mayslack’s for trivia.<\/p>\n Tonight we’re going to run some very exciting errands and chill on the couch, because this weekend is going to be very busy. I also have to gather up the cats’ stuff, because they’re moving to their new home tomorrow. I don’t really want to talk about that yet, though, because I already spent all of yesterday afternoon crying at my desk. I know it’s all for the best and they’ll be far happier in a home where there’s always someone around to spoil them, I’m just sad that I won’t have my kitties anymore.
