I paid my state taxes today. I only owed $48, but there was no way I was volunteering that money early. I had to use approximately 47 forever stamps<\/a> (well, 3), because this is everything you have to send them:<\/p>\n

  1. Form M1, Minnesota Individual Income Tax<\/li>\n
  2. Form M1W, Minnesota Income Tax Withheld (don’t they get a copy of my W2??)<\/li>\n
  3. A copy of my federal return, which, including schedules A, C, and SE: 6 pages total<\/li>\n
  4. Form M60, Income Tax Return Payment, a slip which tells them I’m enclosing a check<\/li>\n
  5. The check itself<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Guys! Try harder on that paperwork reduction stuff.<\/p>\n

    So it’s been a veryvery long time since I posted (one week, to be exact), and that means you get the short list! More bullets!<\/p>\n
