It&#8217;s a small collection we accumulated over the past few years, in anticipation of the big event. But then, things started to look a little different.<\/p>\n<p \/>Giving that stuff away to a 17-year-old mother-to-be with nothing but a growing support system was the right thing to do. If we ever do decide to have kids, we can afford to buy it again. I wondered whether I should be sad about parting with something that hadn&#8217;t yet had a chance to even figure into my life. It didn&#8217;t bother me at all. There is no more obvious answer right now than that having kids would be a really bad idea. For us and for them.<\/p>\n<p \/>I&#8217;ll take this as confirmation that I can continue on with my life in a completely guilt-free and dissolute manner.
