Dear Friends,<\/p>\n
I’m pretty sure I haven’t told you yet that I’m going on vacation Thursday. So now you know.<\/p>\nWe’re going to Orlando for a week. This is my parents’ xmas present to the family: Mom, Dad, Stephanie, Escobar, Heather, and I are flying down to Florida to see my brother Scott and his family. We’re staying in one of those tricked-out condos and going to Disney. I’m not so into Disney, but it’ll be good people-watching. Also, it’s creepily engineered to ensure the maximum enjoyment for all its patrons, and I plan to put that to the test.<\/p>\nI will also be in town just in time for Alina’s birthday party. I can’t wait to hang out with her, and take pictures of the stuff she won’t remember the morning after. I’m good like that.<\/p>\nSo, I’ll be arriving in Florida with my guide to vegetarian dining on the Disney properties, several packages of Tofurky Jurky, protein powder, and glucose tablets to ensure I don’t go into a coma on Space Mountain or something. I’m so prepared, it’s stupid. Last night, I had to run to the store to buy new shoes, because Saucony might make the best-fitting running shoes on the planet, but that only applies to my left foot.<\/p>\nI almost caved and bought a pair of Nikes because they were a good color and fit well, but then I decided against it.
