But sometimes you get so caught up in something not working, that you want to kill. For me, I know it&#8217;s bad when I start losing my voice. I&#8217;m creaking at Michael, &#8220;NO! That still didn&#8217;t work!&#8221; while he rewrites shit and tells me to try it again. And again. And again.<\/p>\n<p \/>I was creating a new record in the database, and just wanted to return the ID column. But he rewrote everything so you can&#8217;t just call it, you have to say jump up and down three times and say a special prayer before it&#8217;ll happen. I hate that. I know there&#8217;s a reason, but I like straightforward code. Anyway, after about an hour of rewrites and recompiling and copying his files to my web server, I reloaded the page and finally saw what I was looking for: instead of that big old zero, I got my ID: 666.<\/p>\n<p \/>How appropriate.
