The keyboard is fine, thank you. However, I&#8217;d like to clarify something I wrote yesterday: when I said &#8216;not her or him or me&#8217;, I mean my ex-girlfriend, my ex-boyfriend, and, uh, me. I thought that was obvious. The rest is static; it&#8217;s the untuned noise that drowns the signal. Nothing else.<!--although in this specific instance, it's also the best self-parody ever.--><\/p>\n<p \/>Today Michael put in his notice at work, and Micci told us she&#8217;d been moved to another contract. One which won&#8217;t even allow her to be on AIM during the day, so I just might cry. I&#8217;m going to miss my officemates terribly. Micci has become a confidante. Michael has become a good-natured punching bag. They&#8217;re both awesome and talented and I&#8217;m now going to be crabby as hell until I get someone new to talk to. Hopefully someone with social skills; those are rare amongst developers. Or at least someone who knows how to respond in a positive way to someone with social skills. I&#8217;ll take what I can get.<\/p>\n<p \/>This afternoon in the last few minutes before we both had to leave, I had a moment of perfect, peaceful clarity: nothing certain, yet everything understood. That sense of well-being and absolute calm I&#8217;d been missing.
