I’ll just square-bullet some details for you, yes?

The LA travel journal has been posted for some time now. I stuck to my more-photos-fewer-words promise, although you may not actually recognize that as fewer words. Trust me.

There’s something immense and life-changing going on right now, but it’s one of those things that’s so good and important that I fear discussing it yet. Not even out of fear of the dreaded jinx, just because I haven’t gotten over being stunned and doubtful.

I saw probably the 2nd or 3rd-best show of my life last Thursday at Quest. Audioslave, man. Oh my god. I mean, Quest is tiny for that kind of show. It was incredible. They played current stuff, a few new songs, some old Soundgarden (sigh), and a couple Rage classics. Holy shit. The place went wild. LOVED it.

On a side note, are there guys who buy tickets to shows just to grab ass? Seriously. It was nothing less than a feel-epidemic. Because of that, I like to put my phone in the butt-pocket of my pants; it’s not so much a deterrent as just a surprise, though.

Saturday, I saw Maroon 5 at Xcel Center with my sister, who hasn’t realized yet that the dude is gay. We had completely awesome seats due to my mad clicking skillz. However! I guess I was a little surprised at the crowd. See, their audience at Bonnaroo was the same sort of folks I’m used to seeing at shows, so it didn’t occur to me that their broad crossover-appeal would perhaps make the scene in St Paul a little different. Not to say it wasn’t pretty entertaining to watch a completely energy-free bunch of people.

It was the exact opposite of Audioslave. When I left, I had no new bruises, I was not covered in other people’s sweat, nor were my shoes squishy with beer. Yes, that’s a bad thing.

I’d like to tell you the story of my recent dealings with Time-Warner, but it’s nothing less than a novel. I’ll just note that on my desk I have a document with my forged signature on it; they even managed to spell my name wrong while impersonating me.

Dude, are you looking at my phone photos? I mean, some of them are even good! I think.

I know you’ve been missing news of the Sea Monkeys!! I swear I will update you soon. I have photos. And a movie. And tales of their brave exploits. Also, they’ve totally been gettin’ it on. BABIES!

We started tarot class tonight. The teacher is a professional psychic. This may well be the best class ever, at least still I start IAIDO: THE ART OF THE SWORD next week. I’m so psyched about it I have trouble not giggling constantly, which is kind of embarrassing. It’s the perfect combination of fascinating and completely insane.

End bullets.

Sometimes trying times can be the most revealing, as difficult as they are. I don’t know whether it’s luck or fate or a roll of the dice that brought Scotty to me, but I do know it’s something a lot more profound that keeps us together. I’ve never had anyone make me feel all those wonderful, goofy, giddy romantic things that make everyone else want to puke hearing about them. So go ahead and puke! I’ll just hope I make him feel as loved as I do.

Good night.
Sleep tight.
Don’t let the cat sleep on your pillow, she gets it all hairy.

Jenni

Oh, hi.
