Hi!<\/p>\n

Ok, I swore I’d be done with that travel journal before I left for Las Vegas, and I tried! I’m about half-done with the writing. There are three problems: 1) the wordiness, of course, even though it’s much<\/i> less than usual, 2) the fact I was only at home for 6 non-sleeping hours this week and the catbox wasn’t going to clean itself, and 3) the fact I have to look up how to spell the names of everything in Hawaii. Seriously, all their towns are named the same thing, or the same thing with one letter difference. I am a stickler for accuracy!<\/p>\n

Since I don’t leave til 7am tomorrow, there’s still a slim chance I could finish. It’s even slimmer than the chance I document anything from Vegas, however. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, whereas what happens in Minneapolis ends up all over the internet.<\/p>\n

Lou taught me the basics of Texas Hold-em, so I’m going to try not to embarrass myself too<\/i> much with that and blackjack. I don’t need to win or play very long, I just want to do it. What I lack in skill, I make up in luck and vast amusement with myself. It’ll be awesome. You’re totally gonna see me on ESPN 2 wearing one of those green visors. HOT.<\/p>\n

So I knew that Mahogany and Jack are going to be there the same time we are, but I just had this flash of DUH the other day when I remembered my old old old friend Paul now lives there, too. I got a hold of him, and I’m so excited to see him again. It’s been at least 6 years.<\/p>\n

I’m amazed at how easy it is to lose touch with people. Chele<\/a> told me at brunch the other day that sometimes you allow your world to become very small. I couldn’t believe how true that was. The wonderful thing is how quickly it expands again. I missed so many of you. Especially you<\/i>, boy. Daaamn.<\/p>\n

I love you guys!! I’m not drunk, either. (I gave that up on Sunday. Ha!) I mean, I’ve been spending time with a lot of you lately. You make me happy. So thank you for that.<\/p>\n

To change the subject before I really embarrass myself, the next trip is in the works. Homie<\/a> and I were going to go to France for her birthday in November, but then we decided on this 8-day package to Prague and Budapest. We’re going over Thanksgiving, and may spend an extra day in NYC because she’s never been and I need to see one of my favorite girls on the whole entire planet, Jocelyn. I LOVE YOU G– oh wait.<\/p>\n

So I’m going to put my phoneblogthing back up just as soon as I database-and-rss it. Also, I kind of have a division of content as of right this very moment: here’s where you will find, like, my news and such. My LJ<\/a> is for the much more personal, although you shouldn’t go reading that as ‘naked photos’, dude. So if you’d like access to that, you’ll have to get yourself an account and make yourself known to me. Which should be interesting, because I don’t really have an easy way for you to make yourself known to me on there yet.<\/p>\n

You’re creative types. You figure it out.<\/p>\n
