Here is a little of what Bermuda looks like. Take these, multiply by 10,000, and you’ll have a decent idea of how amazing that country is. I’ve never met such friendly, hospitable people in my life, nor seen such beautiful beaches.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s the hotel we stayed at, thanks to Barritt’s. They served us breakfast on the patio every morning, with this view:<\/p>\n

\nParts of Bermuda reminded me a lot of San Juan, particularly the forts:<\/p>\n

\nHamilton is the main city on the island. We were within easy walking distance of all the action. It looks a lot like most ports in the Caribbean, but it’s way more unspoiled and far less tacky.<\/p>\n

\nHorseshoe Bay is a pink-sand beach on the South Shore. We were there in the afternoon with probably fifty other people. How is that possible?<\/p>\n

\nWe snorkeled at Elbow Beach. The reefs are really close to shore, and the fish are friendly.<\/p>\n

\nThe whole town of St George’s is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, because of things like the Unfinished Church:<\/p>\n

\nTo do next time: swim in Tobacco Bay.<\/p>\n

\nThis is what Bermuda looks like from above. The whole island is only 21 square miles.<\/p>\n
