Hey youse,<\/p>\n

I’m gonna stop up in here right quick and say hi before I disappear for the long preholiday weekend, which promises to be crazy, in the awesomest way possible.<\/p>\n

On Monday of this week, I finalized the xmas shopping, and then we dined at the Independent. I may have had certain biases about the place, considering the location and all, but I was pleasantly surprised. They have a pretty awesome menu, both food and drink. Also, walking distance from mi casa? A plus.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday of this week, I bought tickets to the Final Five, extending the in-person viewing of the college hockey season as long as possible, oh sweet jesus yes. Fight<\/strike>Knitting Club migrated to its new date-and-time at 7pm, which allowed us to proceed therefrom to Town Talk, a most excellent combination of activities. Whilst sippin’ on El Luchador de Navidad, we learned of the Moustache Contest. Nick’s porn-star ‘stache was the subject of heated debate: hot or creepy? or creepy-hot?<\/i> All I know is we all felt a little dirty when we left.<\/p>\n

On the most recent night of this week, Matt was a cookin’ fool and I was a passable giftwrappist, and then we chillaxed to a movie like we were professionals. I finished two rows on my mittens, and am in absolute denial about their impending holiday deadline. But I will persevere, because my sister needs ultrarad convertible Gophers mittens. Don’t tell, they’re a surprise.<\/p>\n

This weekend (which begins, like, now, and which you will hear the details of next week): la Hora de Felicidad and Aliveness Project shopping and giftwrapping tonight, cookie-baking and my xmas party tomorrow, more cookie-baking and my work xmas party Saturday, and then cookie-meetup on Sunday morning. After which I will probably nap for a span of two to thirty hours.<\/p>\n

I need a neck massage like I have never needed one in my life. My neck and shoulders feel hard, much like the Incredible Hulk’s, without the green and angry part. I’m pretty convinced it’s not the injury, but weird sleeping or the fact I’ve been slouching like my desk is a lowrider. But what do you do when you gotsta look cool?<\/p>\n
