I picked him up from the dealership last night! I haven’t taken photos yet because it’s winter again, but this is what he looks like<\/a>, in espresso black. (It looks black except in the sunlight… which means I also haven’t seen the real color yet. Suck it, Minnesota.)<\/p>\n I’ve gotten some pretty great reactions from people when I’ve told them I sold my GTO in favor of one of the three cheapest new cars on the market. The best is the “oh, I’m sorry” face. But really, I couldn’t be happier about it. I basically gave myself several thousand extra dollars a year, and that’s pretty critical when you plan to open a business in another country. The huge upgrade in finances is way more important than driving an awesome car.<\/p>\n Also, my insurance is dropping $160\/yr. And I don’t have to pay for premium gas or synthetic oil anymore. And I don’t have to worry about most repairs, because it has a 7-year warranty. And I’m pretty unlikely to attract the cops’ attention, though you never know.
