{"id":170,"date":"2007-08-06T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2007-08-07T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chocolatemussolini.com\/cm\/default.asp?n=637"},"modified":"2007-08-06T23:00:00","modified_gmt":"2007-08-07T06:00:00","slug":"waiting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/queenofsubtle.com\/cm\/?p=170","title":{"rendered":"waiting."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, hey, I&#8217;m back.<\/p>\n<p \/>The baseball roadtrip to Chicago and Milwaukee was fantastic, and I&#8217;m in the middle of <a href='http:\/\/queenofsubtle.com\/rt\/category\/baseball-roadtrip\/' target='x'>writing about it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p \/>Everything had been kind of overshadowed, though, by the fact that my oldest cat, Chloe, is very sick. She&#8217;s suffered from the typical old-cat illnesses over the past year or so (she&#8217;s about 15 years old), but in the last couple weeks took a turn for the worse. Tests at the vet yesterday show it&#8217;s almost certainly cancer, and it&#8217;s very advanced.<\/p>\n<p \/>I won&#8217;t know for a day or two what the final results are, but we pretty much know already. And I know what comes next. I&#8217;m doing my best to not think about it and just try to make her comfortable for her last couple days with me, but it&#8217;s been rough.<\/p>\n<p \/>I&#8217;m really glad to have very supportive friends and a boyfriend who doesn&#8217;t mind me getting his shirts wet with crying on him constantly.<\/p>\n<p \/>Jenni<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, hey, I&#8217;m back.
