This morning, I got up, showered with Matt, and got dressed. Instead of putting on jeans, though, I donned my warm pajama bottoms, called work, and went back to bed. I got up again at 9:30 for a do-over. It’s -20 outside, so that was the smartest thing I’ve managed today.<\/p>\n

I keep thinking I’m getting better, then I wake up wanting to die again. It’s fully in my lungs now, and let me tell you: the stuff I’m coughing up could audition as extras if they make another Alien<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Mary and I took a field trip upstairs to visit the polar bear and take pictures<\/a>. I’d totally forgotten the part about how he was shot by a purported mafia guy<\/a>. That is awesome<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Also yesterday, I found out that someone actually died on the dune buggy excursion<\/a> we took in Mexico. And here I was thinking it was just a credit card scam. That’s really sad, though not the least bit surprising. Here’s hoping we can get the word out to other travelers so the same doesn’t happen to them.
