I went to Walgreens over lunch today to get a flu shot. The ride there was way more pleasant than any other time I’ve been to Walgreens to get a flu shot. (It’s hard to think of it as flu season, too.)
It’s hard to see in the picture, but the building in the distance has a huge “Fly Navy” sign on it. (It’s currently a hotel for servicemembers at Trumbo Point, part of the Key West Naval Air Station.) The result of seeing this building every day — the entrance to Trumbo Point is across from our neighborhood — is having the Top Gun theme stuck in your head ALL THE TIME. And if you drive up to Boca Chica and see F-18s taking off… well, that means there’s no getting rid of it.
