…and so did Matt, thankfully. His liver might need a break for a while, though.
The most exciting thing I accomplished this weekend was #29 on my 101 Things list: Wendy and I walked Lake Street from Calhoun to the Mississippi River on Saturday. It took us almost 5 hours to cover the five-mile span, but not because we’re slow: we stopped at three bars, saw a low-rider car show, ate some tacos, were on the Google Streetview camera, hung out with a giant inflatable Twinkie, hid from a rainstorm under the awning of an abandoned building, and took part in a meat raffle.
It was so awesome that we’re wondering what other streets we should cover. Lyndale? Broadway? Franklin? University? (And no, we’re not going to St Paul.)
Tonight we’re going to celebrate my mom’s birthday at Mystic Lake. If you know Claudia, you know she loves the casino. Tuesday through Thursday nights this week are dedicated to finishing our minigolf hole (the work party starts at noon on Friday) and preparing our 3-Day cheering setup (the 3-Day begins at 6am Friday, and we need to get the materials to Kenya and Alyssa before then).
Good thing we don’t have a lot of other commitments coming up in a month, right? Dudes, we’re getting married in 34 days!!
