We had a fantastically relaxed weekend. It involved plenty of couchtime, sudoku and puzzle-doing, housecleaning, baking, and preparing for vacation. We went to the Gophers game Saturday night (they’re having a rough streak, those Gophers, but I have infinite reserves of hockey-related faith), then to Kristin’s birthday party. That’s about the only time we left the house, actually.
Matt’s still feeling rundown from the cold or whatever it was we ended up with. Mine is still manifesting itself in my ears; I’m not sure if they’re actually infected or not, but they ache like crazy. If it doesn’t improve in the next couple of days, I’ll go to the doctor. Nobody needs to go to the beach with an infection in their head, even if overproof rum is highly medicinal.
For the first time in what feels like forever, it’s been warm here for a noticeable period of time. By ‘warm’, I mean ‘above freezing’, but that’s the best you can ask of Minnesota in February. The snow has receded quite a bit, there are birds and squirrels running around, cars are starting… I think that means this will be over soon. But in the meantime, we’ll go hide in Jamaica for a bit. It’s never to early to get started on a tan.
